SCENE AND BE SEEN AT THE VICEROY

Santa Monica Hotel Becomes the Latest Celebrity 'Hot Spot'

Santa Monica, Calif. - As Los Angeles readies for summertime fun, its celebrities have already been flocking to the Santa Monica Beach area to lounge by the pool and sip drinks at Viceroy. Santa Monica's chicest hotel has become Hollywood's home away from home and this year's 'hottest spot' for celebrity sightings.

With its Kelly Wearstler-designed interiors, Cameo Bar's signature drinks and the distinguished cuisine at Whist, names like Dustin Hoffman, Cindy Crawford and Britney Spears have had little reason to stay away from Viceroy's glamorous surroundings. The hotel's renowned poolside cabanas have also become a favorite for tinseltown's most private parties.

"We have been welcoming Hollywood's elite to the Viceroy for quite some time now," said Vincent Piro, general manager. "Both seasoned celebrities and L.A.'s newest stars are attracted to the hotel's unique combination of cutting-edge style and intimate atmosphere."

Most recently Viceroy has hosted Leonardo DiCaprio, Gisele Bundchen, Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds, Sting, Kelly Osbourne, Vanessa Carlton and Alyssa Milano, poolside and indoors. Christian Slater, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Jason Biggs, and Val Kilmer have also been known to be frequent dinner guests while Demi Moore, Nicky Hilton, Rebecca Romijn-Stamos and Mira Sorvino have enjoyed Viceroy's pool parties.

Located at the crossroads of Ocean Avenue and Pico Boulevard in Santa Monica, Viceroy was named one of the 50 hottest hotels in the world by Condé Nast.

Viceroy was named on Condé Nast Traveler's "Hot List." Each of Viceroy's 170 rooms and suites are appointed with Italian Designer linens and luxury bathrobes, custom beds with down comforters and pillows, two-line cordless telephones, high speed internet access, dataports and flat-screen televisions. Viceroy features a restaurant, bar, two pools, cabanas and a sundeck.

Viceroy is one of four hospitality endeavors by the Kor Hotel Group and kwid (Kelly Wearstler Interior Design), the creative forces behind Avalon Hotel and Maison 140, in Beverly Hills, and Viceroy Palm Springs. The hotel's style, dubbed 'modern colonial,' combines classic English Regency hallmarks, such as applied mouldings, caning, and cameo motifs, with Lucite furnishings and a vibrant green signature color. Viceroy is located at 1819 Ocean Avenue, Santa Monica, California, 90401.
