Executive Chef Warren Schwartz creates crave-worthy bites and drinks all summer long at Viceroy Santa Monica’s famed poolside
Whist at Viceroy Santa Monica offers the perfect solution to indulge every craving with “Taste of Tuesday.” Beginning May 27, Angelenos can once again enjoy Taste of Tuesday, where mouthwatering “tastes” of signature food and cocktail offerings are available for only $5.00 each. From 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. every Tuesday through Labor Day, the sounds of live DJ’s set the mood while guests lounge poolside and Whist’s Executive Chef Warren Schwartz serves up tasty bites from the outdoor grill. New for 2008, Whist’s private poolside cabanas can now be reserved for Taste of Tuesday and a menu of made-to-order Fresh Bar cocktails will be featured throughout the event.
Every Tuesday, Chef Schwartz prepares market-driven, small bites or “tastes” of food, including Miso Soy Salmon with Spicy Cucumber or Elk Tenderloin with Foie Gras Cherry Butter. New cocktail “tastes” include made-to-order Fresh Bar cocktails in flavors ranging from Strawberry Raz and Candied Kumquat Margarita to Sparkling Pear, also just $5.00 each. All tastes are then tallied up dim-sum style at the end of the night, to determine the final bill. Keeping patrons returning for more, no two Taste of Tuesday are alike with food and drink menus changing weekly based on seasonal ingredients available at the Santa Monica Farmer’s Market.
For the ultimate Taste of Tuesday experience, guests can now reserve one of the four coveted poolside cabanas for a $200.00 flat fee (no food and beverage minimum requirement), and enjoy this signature, Santa Monica style, happy hour with a group of up to 10 friends.
